A Bit About Us

Over twenty-five years ago we began resolving conflict. It came in the form of neighbors fighting with neighbors, workplace incivility, businesses and how they impacted the neighborhood, civilian complaints against police, Good Neighbor Agreements, Zonings and Historic Designations. We work primarily with municipalities and nonprofits. We help “People Talk to People”, when they’re not sure how, afraid to try on their own, or need a professional third party to help.

Conflict is Inevitable!

How you choose to manage conflict is up to you. Conflict comes at us in many different shapes and sizes, but one thing is constant – it brings change! A commitment to constructive conflict resolution, learning how to talk with each other in a civil way, will almost always bring positive results. Failure to manage conflict in a positive way damages individuals, organizations and relationships. We’re here to help keep it constructive and positive.

Constructive Conflict? Hard to believe, but true. Better ideas are produced, we find creative resolutions, we are asked to think about and refined our positions, we identify what truly matters.

Effective. In mediation we work with the people involved in the conflict, those who really have an investment in the outcome. They care because the conflict is directly impacting their lives. They are committed to the resolutions they worked so hard to find.

Objective. Our mediators do not take sides, advocate for the other person, or made decision for either of you. They are the objective, neutral, third party you call when you are caught in conflict.

Confidential. All those involved agree to a level of confidentiality required to create the “safe place” so necessary for working from positions to interests, and for finding options that lead to lasting resolutions.

Voluntary. You are there because you choose to be.

Efficient. Saves time, money and energy working directly together to find your own solutions that work for both of you.

Focused. Our professional mediators help you stay focused on problem solving, expectations, communication, and what it takes to resolve the conflict.

Professional. Our mediators are professional. They are trained, mentored, and meet regularly to maintain excellence in all they do. They are good!
