You buy or rent your house, move in and forget to meet the neighbors. In today’s busy world we very seldom “talk over the fence”. We hit the garage opener or run up the apartment steps, we’re in our house without having to interact with anyone. We may never have to acknowledge the person or family living on the other side of the wall or fence.
Then something goes wrong. Their dog won’t stop barking, the kids party too long, cars are parked in the wrong place, the fence or landscaping isn’t cared for, their surveillance cameras are pointed my way, and the list goes on, and on, and on! Like I said, “We’ve seen it all!”
When it comes to businesses and neighbors it is often around noisy patrons, dumpsters, live music, hours of operation, etc. We mediate many conflicts between businesses and neighbors.
